In January - April 2013, iron ore exports from Ukraine grew by 12 percent compared to the same period last year and amounted to 12 million 570 thousand tons. This was reported in the association of Metallurgprom.
Meanwhile, in April, the export of iron ore raw materials from Ukraine decreased compared to March by 4.8 percent to 3 million 170 thousand tons.
For the period from January to April 2013, the import of iron ore to Ukraine increased by 45 percent to 983 thousand tons. However, in April, the import of iron ore raw materials decreased by 17.2 percent compared to the previous month to 217 thousand tons.
