The next month, the Ferrochroma factories built in Oman will begin their trial operation, which are the joint venture of Overseas Group and the Indian Indsil Group. At the first stage, two alb Tammann Indsil Ferro Chrome will be launched in the free SOHAR zone. Over the next two months after the trial, it is planned to achieve a full capacity of 75,000 tons of steel per year.
Takamul Oman's investment company initiated the creation of a project for the construction of Ferrochroma plants in the Sultanate. The concept of Takamul covers the sectors of oil products, metals and minerals. For the location of the plants, the SOHAR economic zone was chosen, since it adjoins the industrial port and there are three ferrochroma plants and other industrial enterprises at different stages of construction. The development of the Sultanate mining complexes are also in the development stage.
Takamul is the main goal of which is the development, promotion and investment of projects in three main sectors: petrochemistry, metallurgy and mining industry. This will ensure that the semi -finished products that can be further used to obtain finished metal products and, in particular, such goods demanded on the market, as cast -iron valves at local enterprises.
In addition, the company introduced plans including about 10 new projects in the field of petrochemistry, metals and minerals. The total investment in projects is assumed from 500 million to $ 1 billion. They are included in the list of 30 main projects that are at various stages of development and research.
