In May 2013, Ukrainian metallurgical plants increased the production of steel by 0.3 percent compared to the previous month. The total number of soldered steel amounted to 2 million 757 thousand tons, which is 5.5 percent less than in May 2012.
At the same time, for the first five months since the beginning of 2013, the metallurgical plants of Ukraine reduced the production of steel compared to the same period last year by 1.6 percent - to 13 million 815 thousand tons, and the smelting of cast iron - by 0.1 percent, to 12 million 86 thousand tons.
Meanwhile, the production of finished metal rolling in May 2013 decreased by 2.4 percent compared to April and amounted to 2 million 202 thousand tons, which is 6.6 percent less. than in May last year. Over the five months of the Ukrainian meta, the rental production of 1 percent was reduced - to 11 million 482 thousand tons.
As reported, in June, the metallurgists of Ukraine plan to melt 2 million 790 thousand tons of steel and increase its average daily production to 93 thousand tons, which is 4.0 percent more than in May 2013.
For the implementation of these plans, metallurgical plants will be purchased 400 thousand tons of scrap metal, 600 thousand tons of infantry, 1 million 600 thousand tons of iron ore concentrate, 485 thousand tons of agglomerate, 760 thousand tons of ostens, 960 thousand tons of limestones and 1 million 220 tons of metallurgical cake.
Recall that Ukraine in the first four months of 2013 (January - April) reduced the smelting of steel by 1.9 percent compared to the same period last year - up to 11 million 121 thousand tons.
