Opening the largest metallurgical plant of the Tosyali Holding Turkish holding in the Algerian city of Oran on the Mediterranean Sea coast, Erdogan noted that the volume of bilateral trade reached $ 5 billion, and Turkish businessmen are implementing about 200 projects in Algeria.
"I hope that we will increase bilateral investments and trade to $ 10 billion," said Erdogan.
Recalling that more than 100 thousand citizens of Algeria visits Turkey annually, Erdogan urged both countries to improve cultural and economic ties in the future.
He also wished the speedy recovery to President Algeria Mr. Abdal Aziz Butflik, who is under treatment in the hospital.
After the opening ceremony, the emergency room, Erdogan went to Tunisia.
The new Tosyali Holding metallurgical plant in Algeria was built in 19 months, the amount of investment amounted to more than $ 750 million. The total capacity of the plant is 1 million 250 thousand tons per year, which makes it the largest metallurgical enterprise of the region.
