Meinvest will support Makeevka, sending 350 thousand hryvnias to the implementation of city programs

In Makeevka, the summary of the contest "City - our hands" ended. The seven best social projects will be funded by metinvest during 2013 in the amount of 350 thousand UAH. This is stated in the message of the press center Metinvest.

"Soon, in several Makeevka microdistricts, new sports grounds, landscaped recreation areas and centers for the development of children," the report said.

In total, 29 applications were submitted to the competition from which the expert council included residents of the city, workers and employees of Makeevka enterprises, as well as leading Ukraine experts in sustainable development issues, selected the seven most worthy work.

“The activity of the Makeevites pleased us very much. Citizens want to make their city, their yard and the house more beautiful and comfortable. For our company, such energy means that the inhabitants of Makeevka believed that with the support of Metinvest, you can realize their dreams, ”said Alexander Podkorytov, General Director of the Enakievsky Metallurgical Plant of the Metinvest group.

Meanwhile, in Makeevka there are acute issues of communal and, in particular, snow -removing equipment. Just three years ago, this Donbass town turned out to be a constrained snow collapse. As reported daily to clean the roads, about 70 snow removal cars went, but this was not enough. Bypass roads, routes of regional and public importance passing through Makeevka turned out to be unprepared to such weather cataclysms.
