Ukrainian met enterprises reduced the production of ferroalloys by 21 percent

In the first five months since the beginning of 2013, Ukrainian metallurgical enterprises reduced the production of ferroalloys compared to the same period of 2012 by 20.9 percent - to 337 thousand tons. Including the production of Silkomarganz decreased by 12.1 percent - to 256 thousand 700 tons, Feromargansk - by 43.5 percent, to 36 thousand 500 tons, 45 percent ferrosilication - by 34.2 percent - up to 41 thousand tons, metallic manganese - by 60.3 percent - up to 2 thousand tons.

The record holder for the decline in production was the Stakhanovsky Ferroalloy Plant (SZF) reducing the production of products by 48.8 percent to 43 thousand 550 tons. At the same time, the production of Silikomargans in the NSF decreased by 74.1 percent - to 5 thousand 750 tons, and ferrosilication - by 39.9 percent, to 37 thousand 800 tons.

The Nikopol factory of ferroalloys (NZF) reduced the production of ferroalloys in total by 14.9 percent - up to 216 thousand tons. In particular, the NPF reduced the production of Silikomargan by 8.5 percent - to 196 thousand 100 tons, and the Feromarganz - by 48.8 percent - up to 20 thousand tons.

The Zaporizhzhya Ferroalloy Plant (ZZF) reduced the total production of ferroalloys by 17.7 percent - to 71 thousand 300 tons. In particular, the ZZF reduced the production of Silikomargan by 11.4 percent - 49 thousand 100 tons, Feromargansk - by 34.8 percent - up to 15 thousand 900 tons, a metal manganese by 60.3 percent - up to 2 thousand tons. The release of 45 percent ferrosilication amounted to 3 thousand 600 tons (in the first 5 months of 2012, these products were not produced at all).

As reported, last year the ferroalloys of Ukraine reduced production by 13.8 percent - to 1 million 26 thousand tons.
