On Friday, June 14, 2013, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine represented by Prime Minister Nikolai Azarov signed a memorandum of understanding with the enterprises of the Mining and Metallurgical Complex (GMC). This was reported by the government portal of Ukraine.
The memorandum was signed during the work of the first international business conference "ABC: Ukraine & Partners".
On the part of the enterprises of the GMC, the document was signed by Metinvest, the Industrial Union of Donbass (ISD), Interpipe Management LLC, Arcelormittal Krivoy Rog and PJSC Donetskstal and Evraz Ukraine LLC.
Signatures under the document were also set by the heads of the trade union of the Metallurgists of Ukraine and the trade unions of workers in the mining and metallurgical industry.
Nikolai Azarov commented on the birth of this document: "We have shown real support to the Government of our industry. This is extremely important for all participants (business conferences)."
In addition to the Memorandum with the GMC, the government during “ABC: UKRAINE & PARTNERS” signed ten more agreements among which a memorandum of cooperation between the State Agency for Investments and the Management of National Projects of Ukraine (Gosinvestproekt) and the company CLAAS, an intention of intention in Ukraine between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Cabinet of Ministers and Ukraine The company "Intel Yukrain" and several more memorandums and contracts.
As previously reported, the memorandum of mutual understanding of the government with enterprises of the Mining and Metallurgical Complex of Ukraine provides for mutual obligations of the Cabinet and metallurgists. The government agrees to return VAT to enterprises of the mining and metallurgical complex and restrain the growth of tariffs for energy and transportation - no more than 5 percent for the duration of the memorandum, and metallurgists, in turn, are obligated to save jobs, pay all social payments and increase production.
