The production of cars in China increased by 14 percent

In May 2013, the total volume of car production in China amounted to 1 million 780 thousand 500 pieces, which is 13.5 percent higher than in May last year. The volume of sales of new cars over this period increased by 9.8 percent and amounted to 1 million 761 thousand 500 units somewhat slowed down after April boom at 13.4 percent. This was reported by the Chinese Association of automakers.

In January - May of this year, the total increase in the production of vehicles in China amounted to 13.5 percent, while the number of new Chinese -made vehicles reached 9 million 77 thousand 200 pieces. The total volume of car sales over the specified period increased by 12.6 percent and amounted to 9 million 28 thousand 100 units.

In May of this year, the total volume of car production in China amounted to 1 million 419 thousand 700 pieces, which is 11.9 percent higher than last May and 5.3 percent more than in April of this. At the same time, sales of cars increased in an annual comparison by 9 percent, and compared with the previous month by 3.1 percent and amounted to 1 million 396 thousand 900 units.

The production of commercial vehicles in May increased by 20.4 percent in annual calculus and 12.9 percent compared to April. Chinese automakers produced 360 thousand 800 trucks and buses in May 2013. At the same time, sales of commercial cars fell in May relative to April by 8.9 percent and increased relative to May last year by 12.9 percent amounting to 364 thousand 600 pieces.

In January - May, sales of cars in China increased in annual equivalent by 14.73 percent - to 7 million 260 thousand units, and sales of commercial vehicles - by 4.5 percent - up to 1 million 766 thousand 500 pieces.

In the first five months of 2013, the total export of vehicles from China was reduced by 5.3 percent compared to the same period last year, while only in May the export of a car from China decreased by 16.1 percent.
