In January - May 2013, Ukrainian industry reduced its indicators by 5.2 percent compared to January - May 2012, according to the State Statistics Service of Ukraine. At the same time, in January - April, the fall in industrial production was 4.2 percent.
In the annual comparison in May 2013, in relation to May 2012, industrial production indicators decreased by 9.3 percent, and in relation to the last month decreased by 5.6 percent.
The only industry of industry showing the growth in the annual calculus by 2.7 percent was the industry extracting metal ores (by April, growth amounted to 2.4 percent).
The rest of the sectors of the Ukrainian industry demonstrated the decline in industrial production indicators, while the greatest decline in the first five months from the beginning of this year showed the production of chemical products (-18.4 percent), coke and oil refining (-18.2 percent) and mechanical engineering (-14 percent).
In the metallurgical industry in May of this year, compared to last year, the decline in industrial production amounted to 11.2 percent (5.6 percent compared to April).
Recall that in April 2013 industrial production decreased by 2.2 percent compared to April 2012.
