The Kazakhstan statistics agency reports that industrial production in the country grew by 1.8 percent from January to May 2013, compared with the same time interval of 2012.
The results of the mining industry increased by 2.3 percent, and production increased by 1.6 percent. In the electric power industry, heat supply and the gas industry, the indicators fell by 0.6 percent, and the water supply decreased by 9.5 percent.
The growth of production was registered in 12 of 16 regions of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The volume of industrial production increased in 2012 by 0.5 percent and 1.9 percent in the 1st quarter of 2013.
