The Party of Regions will not support the bill on the return of Krivorozhi to state property

The former head of the State Property Fund of Ukraine, and now one of the heads of the Party of Regions faction in the Verkhovna Rada, Mikhail Chechetov is sure that the bill on the next reproduction of the largest Ukrainian metallurgical enterprise Arselormital Krivoy Rog (Krivorozhstal) will not find support from deputies.

"The Party of Regions will not support the bill of the Communists on the return to the state property of the Krivorozhsky Mining and Metallurgical Plant," Chechetov said.

As an example, the regional led to property in communist China.

"The capitalists of the whole world are taking money here, because in the PRC the investor is protected by law and has guarantees that no one will pick up his business," emphasized Mikhail Chechetov.

Recall that on June 20, in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, a bill was registered on the return of the holistic property complex of PJSC Arcelormittal Kryvoy Rog to the state property. The initiators of the bill under No. 2381a were the head of the KPU faction Petr Simonenko and a member of the faction Sergey Balandin.

Comments of experts and assessment of third -party observers on the issue of possible reprivatization are unambiguously negative.

Having lost more than 6 percent of foreign investments since the beginning of this year, Ukraine may remain without money as a result.

“I think this scenario is unlikely. But if it is realized, it is extremely negative to affect the investment attractiveness of Ukraine - with a very noticeable increase in the risks of investing money in our country, in the understanding of foreign investors,” says Dmitry Landa, senior analyst at IS Capital.
