Arselormital Kryvy Rog fulfills its obligations within the framework of the Memorandum with the Government of Ukraine

The largest metallurgical plant of Ukraine Arselormittal Krivoy Rog signed an agreement on sponsorship and charitable assistance with the Charitable Foundation "Development of Dnieper" for 30 million UAH. This was reported today by the press service of the plant.

"The contract is concluded within the framework of social partnership with the local authorities and taking into account the provisions of the Memorandum on mutual understanding between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the enterprises of the Mining and Metallurgical Complex of Ukraine," the former crooked-roads emphasized.

30 million sponsorship will be aimed at computerizing schools and preschool institutions, conducting seminars and additional curricula for gifted children of the Dnipropetrovsk region, as well as to provide grants and implement regional projects aimed at improving the education system.

“As a socially responsible enterprise, we see our task in doing more than the legislation requires us, and contribute to the implementation of social programs at the local and regional levels,” said Artem Polyakov, Director General of Arselormital Kriv Polyakov.

In total, in 2013, Arselormital Krivoy Rog will direct about 50 million UAH to the development of education and healthcare in the Dnipropetrovsk region.
