The Russian State Duma adopted in the first reading a bill on economic amnesty

The State Duma of the Russian Federation supported by a majority vote draft law on economic amnesty at yesterday's meeting. The document provides for the release of people who committed economic crimes without the use of force or the threat of its use. The economic amnesty will not affect raiders and counterfeiters. It is reported by ITAR-TASS.

The law was not supported by the LDPR and the Communist Party of the Communist Party (Communists), deputies from United Russia and Fair Russia cast their votes in support of business.

The project on economic amnesty voted by 295 deputies was proposed for consideration by the Russian parliament on June 25 by the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin. In the text of the decree in particular, it is proposed to "release from serving the sentences of persons for the first time brought to criminal liability or convicted of crimes in the field of entrepreneurial activity and terminating criminal cases who are in proceedings against them." An indispensable condition for amnesty is the compensation for the suspect or accused of losses of the victim.

Accused under the articles on copyright violations, illegal entrepreneurship and banking, fraud, money laundering, evasion of taxes and customs payments, and non -compliance with credit obligations will be able to use the right to amnesty. At the same time, not only prisoners, but also sentenced to punishments, not related to the deprivation of liberty, conditionally convicted, are subject to amnesty, persons whose punishment is delayed, and conditionally released.
