In January - June 2013, the Dnieper Metallurgical Plant named after Dzerzhinsky (DMKD), which is part of the Industrial Union of Donbass (ISD), according to operational data, reduced the production of metal rolling by 2 percent compared to APPG -2012, to 1 million 632 thousand tons. At the same time, the steel smelting decreased by 2.7 percent - to 1 million 593 thousand tons, and the production of cast iron decreased to 1 million 440 thousand tons, which is 8.8 percent less than in the APPG -2012.
In total, for June 2013, 224 thousand tons of steel and 194 thousand tons of cast iron were melted at the DMKD. The production of metal rolling was 239 thousand tons.
According to the enterprise, the cause of production indicators was the domain furnace No. 12 stopped for major repairs. Repair work lasted 11 days and were completed ahead of schedule. “Initially, the overhaul of the blast furnace was planned to be carried out in August, but for objective circumstances, the deadlines had to be postponed to June,” says Vladimir Boyko, deputy director of repairs.
As reported, in connection with the breakdown of the cooling system of Domna No. 12 of the DMKD, it was unscheduled and the factory decided to combine the repair of the refrigeration unit with the overhaul of the entire furnace.
"Usually, to prepare for the overhaul of the 3rd category domain furnace, the execution of orders for its conduct, at least two months are allocated. But since the situation was freelance, the teams of the main mechanic’s service workshops had to make every effort to quickly fulfill the priority orders necessary for the overhaul of the furnace. If necessary, people remained after the shift, worked seven days a day to ensure the manufacture of the necessary units And the details for DP No. 12 on time and in the right order, ”says oleg Usenko, deputy chief mechanic of DMKD.
Recall that the ISD raised the question of the appropriateness of the further operation of the metallurgical plant in Dneprodzerzhinsk. Recently, the main shareholder of the ISD Sergey Taruta, commenting on the situation with the quotas of Koks’s imports, said: "Losses that can follow in the absence of high -quality coal can lead to large costs, cost growth. Therefore, it is easier to close the plant and pay salaries to people, the further work."
Meanwhile, according to Dzerzhinka General Director Maxim Zavgorodny, "The situation inspires cautious optimism." As the head of the DMKD emphasized, all planned investment projects and reconstruction are carried out strictly on schedule. Particular attention of the leadership is focused on the introduction of the advanced system of dust -angle blowing of the fuel (Put) of the installation of the structures of which began on June 20 of this year.
