The Latin American manufacturer became Alacero on Friday that Latin America took over 10 percent of the total number of steel exported by China. From January to May 2013, the supply of Chinese metal products increased by 4 percent and reached 1 million 200 thousand tons.
The main importer in Latin America was Venezuela, which increased purchases by 70 percent and became the leader in the consumption of Chinese metal products in the region (18 percent). Brazil remained in second place, which, although it reduced imports by 18 percent, continues to occupy 17 percent in the total tonnage of Chinese imports to Latin America.
The most popular metal rolling purchased in January - May of the above countries were seamless steel pipes (231 thousand 558 tons), then welded pipes with an indicator of 217 thousand tons are popular.
