Trade unions announced their intention to carry out a strike at the ISDemir Crimean Metallurgical Plant due to the lack of a collective agreement. The maternal company of the Erdemir factory is reported about receiving an appropriate notice from trade union bosses.
The report states that on July 15, 2013, the labor union will bring the personnel of the metallurgical plant on strike, numbering more than 6,000 people.
Meanwhile, as they say in ISDEMIR, negotiations between trade unions and the administration on the issues of the condemnation continue.
ISDEMIR was founded on October 3, 1970 as the Third State Turkish Metallurgical Plant built completely on Soviet technologies. The production of steel began in 1975 and today ISDemir melts more than 2 million tons of steel annually.
The metallurgical plant is located on an area of about 8.6 km ² about 17 km to the north of the city of Lengerun. The control room has a sea port that allows you to accept and process 9 cargo ships 150,000 metric tons of Dedweet (DWT) at the same time.
