According to the information provided by the Russian Federation, WirtschaftsVereinigung Stahl in January - June 2013, production in Germany amounted to 21 million 700 thousand tons, which is 0.7 percent lower than the APPG -2012 production.
In June 2013, German steatches melted 3 million 700 thousand tons of steel, which is also 2 percent less than in June 2012.
Representatives of the Federation note that the loading of the metallurgical capacities of Germany has decreased to 85 percent. This happens against the background of weakening demand in foreign markets. High and unstable prices for raw materials, as well as overproduction of steel in other EU countries, negatively influenced the production indicators of the German metallurgical industry.
The proof of this is the reduction in steel production in May to 3 million tons, which is 7.1 percent less than in the APPG-2012. Including the drop in production of sheet steel reached 13.3 percent, and the varietal metal rolling - 5.5 percent.
In the period from January to June 2013, the production of total rental was 15 million 600 thousand tons, demonstrating a decrease by 1.3 percent compared to the first half of 2012, including 10 million 200 thousand tons of sheet rental (a drop of 2.1 percent to the APPG-2012) and 5 million 400 thousand tons of the last year’s vehicle that preserved last year's production level.
Steel production in Germany in the first half of 2013 decreased by 0.7 percent
