Today it became known that the Russian Federation intends to introduce compensation duties on the import of Ukrainian coal in the amount of 54 percent of the customs value. This was reported by the official website of the World Trade Organization (WTO).

The Russian delegation notified the WTO member country of the intention to introduce duties on chocolate imports in the amount of 0.1 euros/kg, for the import of coal in the amount of 54 percent of the customs value, glass - in the amount of 15 percent of its customs value.

According to the report, the Russian side in this way intends to compensate for the losses from the entry of the so -called imported special duties on cars with a working volume of the engine from one thousand cubic centimeters to 2 thousand 200 cubic centimeters in the amount of 6.46 to 12.95 percent of their cost.

Recall that earlier in June, Türkiye said that she would introduce in response to Ukrainian duties its additional fees for the import of walnuts in the amount of 23 percent of the customs value.

In turn, the European Union announced the losses of about 250 million euros for its manufacturers, but he still hopes to resolve the issue of removing special delivery in a contractual basis. At the same time, the EU remains every right to also impose sanctions against Ukraine according to the NTU norms.
