Ukrainian trumpets will soon face big problems

The resolution on the abolition of restrictions on the import of steel pipes can lead to the displacement of the products of national tube companies from the market of national tube companies adopted the other day. This was told by UNIAN Analyst the investment company Concorde Capital Roman Topoluk.

As you know, on August 1, 2013, in accordance with the decision of the commission, restrictions on imports in Ukraine will be suspended steel seamless casing and pump-and-pipe pipes with an external diameter of up to 406.4 mm, regardless of the country of origin.

Ukrainian manufacturers will face serious competition from Russia, Austria and Poland. "For domestic trumpets, such an action will only aggravate the already difficult situation with the sale of products, when trading barriers are introduced or tightened in key and promising markets - in Russia, the USA," says Roman Topoluk.

The interdepartmental commission itself states that the decision was made due to the lack of international certificates for the production of certain categories of pipes used in the oil and gas industry among Ukrainian manufacturers.
