In the first five months since the beginning of 2013, Ukrainian metallurgical enterprises reduced the export of their products in monetary terms by 12.5 percent in relation to APPG-2012 to 7 billion 577 million dollars. This was reported by state serving of the statistics of Ukraine.
At the same time, revenue from ferrous metals exports in January - May 2013 amounted to 6 billion 155 million dollars, which is 12.5 percent lower than in APPG -2012, and income from the sale of ferrous metals rental abroad in the same period was reduced by 14.7 percent - to 1 billion $ 143 million.
In addition, in May 2013, income from ferrous metals exports in an annual comparison decreased by 28.2 percent - to 1 billion $ 204 million.
The share of metallurgical products in the total volume of Ukrainian exports in January - May amounted to 26.8 percent.
In January - May 2013, Ukraine imported ferrous metallurgy products in the amount of 1 billion 938 million dollars, which is 7.8 percent lower than in the APPG -2012. Including ferrous metals were imported in the amount of $ 889 million (minus 9.7 percent), and metal rolling was $ 445 million (minus 6.9 percent).
In May, the imports of ferrous metals to Ukraine amounted to 198 million $ 700 thousand, which is 14.5 percent less than in May 2012.
Recall that in 2012, Ukraine reduced the export of metal products and ferrous metals by 17 percent to 15 billion 300 million dollars. At the same time, the import of ferrous metallurgy products to Ukraine also decreased by 17.2 percent - to 2 billion 300 million dollars.
