In the first half of 2013, Ukraine compared with the APPG-2012 reduced the production of metal and metal rolling by 7.6 percent. This is stated in the message of the State Statistics Service of Ukraine.
The production of steel without taking into account the semi-finished products obtained by the method of continuous casting of the workpiece, in January-June 2013 amounted to 8 million 124 tons, which is 5.5 percent less than in the APPG-2012. The production of steel continuously cast workpiece for the specified period increased by 0.6 percent and amounted to 8 million 754 thousand tons. The release of steel rituals and forged semi -finished products in the first 6 months of this year decreased by 5 percent - to 3 million 192 thousand tons.
Metallurgical enterprises of Ukraine compared to last year slightly reduced the smelting of cast iron in the first half of 2013 by 0.3 percent - up to 14 million 460 thousand tons.
In addition, Ukraine reduced the production of finished metal rolling in January-June compared with the 2012 APPG by 5.6 percent-up to 9 million 50 thousand tons. Including sheet steel of ordinary brands by 0.4 percent - up to 3 million 31 thousand tons, and alloyed - by 39.6 percent - up to 790 thousand tons. The production of steel pipes for the specified period was reduced by 21.4 percent - to 944 thousand tons, and the production of rods and rods increased by 61.7 percent to 1 million 532 thousand tons. The production of steel profiles has also increased to 1 million 235 thousand tons, which is 10.9 percent higher than the APPG-2012 indicator.
In June 2013, compared with May, the production of ferrous metallurgy products as a whole increased by 0.8 percent, but in annual comparison it decreased by 6.3 percent. Including the production of metal rolling for June increased by 1.2 percent - to 1 million 499 thousand tons.
