Since the beginning of July 2013, DTEK Trading began pumping natural gas from Europe to Ukraine. This month, according to the company, it plans to import about 100 million cubic meters of gas.
The volume of gas imports from Europe will be determined on the basis of economic expediency and market conditions, the DTEK report said.
Today, DTEK exports coal and electricity and imports natural gas. The company is a full member of the European Federation of Energy Training (EFET) and an active participant in the European energy market.
The need for natural gas in DTEK is 3 billion cubic meters per year.
"Today, the price of gas in Europe is lower than that of NAC Naftogaz of Ukraine, so we not only develop our own production, but also trading operations on natural gas imports. We are open to constructive dialogue," says DTEK commercial activities Andrei Favorov.
DTEK is the largest energy company of Ukraine. It is part of the financial and industrial group "Capital Management" (SCM), the main shareholder of which is the Ukrainian businessman Rinat Akhmetov.
