Siemens will fire the general director of Peter Lesher for repeated omissions in work

Siemens уволит генерального директора Петера Лешера за неоднократные упущения в работе
As it became known today, on July 31, 2013, Siemens Supervisory Board will gather in order to dismiss the head of the Peter Löscher Corporation, who is accused of the fact that through his fault the company did not receive sufficient profit in the failures of railway projects.

According to people acquaintances with the situation, the financial director of the company Joe Kaiser and the head of the industry department Siegfried RUSIVARUM apply for the place of Lesher.

Peter Lesher has been heading Siemens since 2007. Over the 160-year history of Siemens, he became the first person to take this position to have previously worked in Siemens AG and the first non-German. This week he will lose his post. “It is very important that the new candidate for the post of head of the company knows its features and culture. The natural choice would be the candidacy of Kaiser,” said the Frankfurt analyst of Commerzbank Ingo-Martin Shachelle.

Joe Kaiser is 56 years old and he has been working on Siemens since 1980. At leading posts since 2004, when he was appointed director for strategy, and then to the post of financial director in 2006.

Siegfried RUSIVARUM is 50 years old, in Siemens has been working since 1992 by starting his career as an engineer-technologist at a factory in Germany. He worked in Sweden by the head of the direction of the Electromedicine devices, in 2003 he returned to Germany to the post of head of the administrative department, and in 2008 he headed the company's industry department.

In turn, for Peter Lesher himself, this news will become unexpected - even on Tuesday, in his interview with the German sueddeutsche zeitung, he stated that his contract with Siemens will end no earlier than 2017 and he was not gathering to resign.

The decision to resign Lesher was made by the main shareholders of Siemens after the publication of a half -year report. The company's shares lost 8 percent after the publication, slipping to the lowest level since March 2009. In addition, the owners of the company received a flurry of complaints from Siemens employees calling for as soon as possible to replace the general director.

In the third quarter of this financial year, Siemens lost more than 100 million euros due to problems with wind power plants and 550 million euros dissolved in offshore, on the accounts of energy-generating companies.

Recall that in Ukraine, Siemens is reconstructing the infabrics at the Enakievsky Metallurgical Plant of the Metinvest group. New equipment will allow the use of a wider row of coals and reduce emissions of harmful substances by 80 - 90 percent.
