According to the World Health Organization (WHO), the level of concentration in the Chinese air especially harmful impurities for health was three times higher than the permissible one. The average concentration of fine dust in 74 cities controlled by the Chinese Ministry of the Environment was 76 micrograms per cubic meter of air at a permissible level of 25 micrograms. This is stated in today's message.
Seven out of ten cities with the worst indicators sheltered the northern province of Habe, known for the highest concentration of steel factories in China. The quality of the air in the neighboring province of Shijiazhuan did not meet the underestimated Chinese standard in 35 micrograms of dangerous mud 90 percent of days in the first half of 2013.
Environmental pollution in China is the main cause of social protests. The government declares the struggle with the sources of emissions, but this has not yet affected real indicators of air pollution.
The quality of the air in the capital of China Beijing 60 percent of days in the first half of this year did not even meet the state standards of China, which are one and a half times worsened compared to WHO standards. Meanwhile, Beijing did not enter the ten most dirty cities in the world, where such Chinese megalopolises as Xian, Jinan, Zhenzhou, Tanzhan and Shijiazhuan were hit.
