The Ministry of Industry of Ukraine demanded an explanation from interpipe

The Ministry of Industrial Policy of Ukraine turned to explain to the company Interpipe about rumors about the refusal of Shell to work with Ukrainian pipes because of their supposedly dubious quality. This was announced today by the press service of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

Interpipe has provided officials with an official response in which confirmed the fact of the purchase of Shell pipes from the Japanese manufacturer Sumitomo. However, the interpiper said that at that time the company's varieties did not have the required pipes with ultra -playing threaded CAL IV levels used in the installation of oil and gas pipelines in severe conditions.

Recall that on January 24, 2013, Shell and Nadra Yuzovskaya signed an agreement on the division of products (SRP) for the production of shale gas on Yuzovskaya Square in the Kharkov and Donetsk regions. The term of the agreement is 50 years. Within the framework of the agreement, a memorandum of cooperation between Interpipe and Shell was concluded. Then the Shell management said that he could not use Ukrainian pipes for work, since they do not comply with the company's standards.

As noted in the Ministry of Industry of Ukraine, today Interpipe is developing its own premium connection of the CAL IV level. In order to increase the efficiency of the production of premium formations, a project was developed for the construction of high -tech production of pipes with an ultra -player connection based on the interpip Nikubub. The project is included in the action plan of the state program for activating the development of the economy for 2013 - 2014.

Especially for Shell in early July, the Interdepartmental Commission for International Trade decided to temporarily suspend the restrictions on imports to Ukraine of steel seamless casing and pumping pipes with external diameter up to 406.4 mm, regardless of the country of origin.
