Zaporizhstal beats the records for the production of cast iron and steel
In July 2013, Zaporizhstal set a cast iron production record, melt 286 thousand 800 tons on three domain furnaces for the first time in recent years, which is 7.6 percent higher than last month and 20.2 percent more than in the APPG-2012. The production of steel increased by 7.7 percent compared to June, reaching 341 thousand 600 tons, which is 24.6 percent more than in APPG-2012. The release of the metal rolling increased by 9.5 percent - to 282 thousand 900 tons, which is also 24.6 percent higher than in the APPG -2012. In addition, the production of thin profiles increased in July to 76 thousand tons.
“The results achieved convincingly demonstrate the new image of the plant on the pace, quality and efficiency and confirm that in August 2012 the only correct development vector was chosen“ Zaporizhstal ”, approved by the strategy of the Metinvest group,” said Rostislav Shurma, General Director of Zaporizhstal MK.
