In the first half of 2013, Ukrainian coal mining enterprises reduced the production of total coal by 4.5 percent compared to APPG-2012, to 47 million 761 thousand 387 tons. Including the extraction of coal coal is reduced by 7.1 percent - to 13 million 738 thousand 959 tons, energy - on 3.5 percent - up to 34 million 22 thousand 428 tons. This was reported in the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry.
These indicators were higher than the ministry planned throughout the ministry by 11.6 percent, and 1.4 percent for enterprises of the Ministry of Energy.
In the Donetsk region, 21 million 611 thousand 989 tons of total coal were obtained, in Lugansk 14 million 954 thousand 824 tons, in the Dnepropetrovskoy - 10 million 145 thousand 812 tons, in Lviv - 834 thousand tons and in the Volyn region - 213 thousand 967 tons of coal.
Recall that last year, Ukrainian miners increased coal production by 4.8 percent - to 85 million 946 thousand tons, while its consumption increased by 6.2 percent - to 61 million 207 thousand tons.
As you know, Ukraine introduced quotas for the import of coking coal used in metallurgical processes in the amount of 12.5 million tons per year.
