Steel production in Iran over four months increased by 5 percent

In the first four months of the current calendar Iranian year (March 21 - July 22), the production of raw steel in this country increased by 5 percent. It is reported by Tehran Times.

The total production of unrefined steel reached 1 million 300 thousand tons in the last calendar month of the Iranian calendar. The production of steel for the standard six months of 2013 amounted to 7 million 326 thousand tons.

As reported, last year Tehran smelted 14 million 890 thousand tons of steel and plans to increase raw steel to 55 million tons per year by the end of the five -year plan in 2015.
