In the first half of 2013, EBITDA reached 3 billion 300 million dollars, which is 30 percent less than in the APPG-2012, since the first half of the last year was more successful due to high prices for iron ore and steel.

In the second quarter, Arcelormittal increased the total production of products by 19 percent, compared with the first quarter of this year. As a result, it became possible to reduce net debt to a level of 16 billion 200 million dollars by mid -2013.

"The reduction of debt below $ 17 billion in the first half of 2013 I consider it an important achievement and satisfied with the progress," the Mittal Lakshmi said in a statement. "However, the target level of debt reduction to $ 15 billion remains unchanged."

Today, the company looks more optimistic into the future than two months ago. The trends have become more positive, especially in developed markets. Arcelormittal expects a continuation of a soft restoration of the growth of the world economy in the second half of 2013.
