Business activity in the export market of the square workpiece of the CIS - minimal

The situation in the export market of the square workpiece improved - the increase in prices for August semi -finished products allowed suppliers from the CIS to strengthen their positions, increasing the volume of sales. Despite Ramadan, buyers from the Middle East continued to contract semi -finished products. Thus, the demand for a square for a month was held at a fairly acceptable level. According to MK, in August, the shipment of the square blank for export will be about 912-913 thousand tons (taking into account supplies to their own foreign assets), which is 14 percent higher than the previous month.

The most substantially suggest increasing supplies by Ukrainian manufacturers - in a total of 14 percent, up to 552 thousand tons. In particular, shipments from the Enakievsky MZ will grow to 117 thousand tons (+9 percent), from the Alchevsk MK - up to 65 thousand tons (+40 percent). They also plan to restore the indicators after a series of repairs in the agglomeration, domain and steelmous workshops of the Dnieper MK (+9 percent, up to 190 thousand tons) and DMZ named after Petrovsky (height is 2 times, up to 32 thousand tons).

Russian suppliers intend to sell about 335-336 thousand tons of semi-finished products (+8 percent) in the current month. The growth of shipments is scheduled for Rostov EMZ (+22-28 percent, up to 22-23 thousand tons) and Novorosmetal (height 6.5 times, up to 32 thousand tons). Note that the latter portfolio of orders is still formed, and from the specified volume, only half is reinforced by contracts. Today to buy a metal roll in Rostov-on-Don at the most optimal prices in the Russian Federation. The “Amurmetall” also entered with the proposal of the August workpiece on the market.

The volume of sales from Kazakhstan, according to manufacturers' plans, will grow more than 4 times, to 25 thousand tons. Positive dynamics is mainly due to the intention of casting to return to the market and implement about 18 thousand tons of square (no shipment was carried out in July). The supplier calculates the August material after Ramadan. In addition, to increase the shipment of semi -finished products involves the new enterprise “Spare” (+33 percent, up to 4 thousand tons).

Recall that the Belarusian MZ, in view of the reconstruction of steeling equipment, continues to remain outside the market. To resume the shipments of semi-finished products, according to the plan, it will be possible no earlier than November-December.

In January-July, the exports of a square workpiece from the CIS countries amounted to about 6.6 million tons (-6 percent): from Ukraine-3.5 million tons (-1 percent), from Russia -2.7 million tons (+1 percent), from the Belarusian MZ-about 280-285 thousand tons (-21 percent), from Kazakhstan-a little less than 140 thousand. tons (-73 percent).
