The exporters of the CIS varietal rental hold positions

Significant changes in the CIS varietal rental market have not occurred over the past week. Despite the weak demand in the main sales markets, suppliers do not yet intend to give up positions. At the end of July, support for manufacturers was provided by the increasing policy of Turkish and Chinese varieties, but already for today the last (albeit partially) make concessions. According to individual players, the prospect of preserving such a policy by Chinese sellers against a background of low purchasing activity may shake the position of the CIS suppliers.

So, the September Katanka Metinvest International S.A., as in the third decade of July, is quoted for the Western Africa market for $ 600/t FOB Black Sea. The seller managed to get contracts for small parties only if discounts are provided (about 5 $/t).

The proposals of the September Katan of the supplier for buyers of central Europe have not changed for the period under consideration and fluctuate in the range of $ 600-605/t DAP Ukrainian border. The conclusion of transactions in this direction is not reported.

For the Israeli market, September -made products will be announced next week. And although it was always problematic to buy fork in this region, Russian manufacturers intend to rectify the situation. For counterparties of other countries of the Middle East, the enterprise does not put up official offers, working as requests arrived.

ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih also has small volumes of August -made capsi. According to players, the specified material for West Africa markets is available within 590-595 $/t FOB Black Sea, which corresponds to the indicators of the end of July. In the Middle Eastern direction, the supplier has not yet voiced the price of a long rental.

The August reinforcement of this enterprise was implemented only by Iraqi customers, while the seller did not put up proposals to other directions. However, the supplier has carried out a fairly large increase in prices. In particular, the large volumes of August reinforcing rental are contracted for the Iraq market for about $ 590/t FOB Black Sea (+20 $/t to the prices of the latest transactions). The Belarusian MZ, according to market participants, also has small volumes of August Katanka. The proposals of this type of rental are stable since last week - $ 560/t Fob Odessa. Hereinafter - subject to 100 percent of the prepayment.
