Emergency for Azovstal - the driver of steam turbines died

Yesterday, on August 10, in the early morning, a pressure duct of 1000 mm with a diameter of 1000 mm occurred at the Azovstal metallurgical plant. As a result, the driver of steam turbines, located in the premises of the control panel of the TPP turbocharger, died. This was reported by the press service of the territorial department of the Gosgorpromnadzor in the Donetsk region.

The 56-year-old woman was knocked down by air flow and littered with objects that were indoors. She died of injuries.

According to the press service of the Mariupol prosecutor's office, the production processes did not stop at the Azovstal, there is no threat to the population of the city and the environment.

Data on the incident are included in the Unified Register of Pre -trial Investigations with qualifications under Part 2 of Art. 272 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (violation of safety rules when performing work with increased danger). The investigation is conducted by the prosecutor's office of the Ordzhonikidze district of Mariupol and the commission to investigate the causes and circumstances of the death created by the Terojor Management of the Gosgorpromnadzor in the Donetsk region.
