Scrap exports from Russia amounted to 1.568 million tons in the first half of the current year, which indicates a decrease by 19.9 percent compared to the same period last year.
During this period of time, Türkiye has become the largest importer of scrap from Russia, the volume of which amounted to 815 thousand tons, declining by 17.4 percent with an annual comparison.
Korea is the second largest importer with 304 thousand tons, decreasing by 15.3 percent, and Spain became the third largest importer with 200 thousand tons, which is 2.5 lower compared to the same period a year ago.
At the same time, according to experts, scrap exports from Russia, in general, will reach 3.14 million tons in 2013.
