In June 2013, taking into account seasonal fluctuations, Japan's industrial production decreased by 3.1 percent compared to the previous month, while this index was reduced by 4.6 percent compared to the same month last year.
According to the revised data published by the Japanese Ministry of Economics, Trade and Industry in the Republic of June 2013, the Japanese production index of steel in this month decreased 3.2 percent in annual calculus. At the same time, the production index of steel, taking into account seasonal fluctuations in Japan, fell by 3.8 percent compared to MAI this year.
In addition, in June 2013, Japanese iron manufacturers and steel reduced supply by 5.4 percent, and metallurgical reserves increased by 4.4 percent compared to the previous month. Over the same period last year, iron manufacturers and steel reduced supplies by 3.6 percent, while the stocks of iron and steel in Japan increased by 13.9 percent.
In the month of June, the raw steel production index, including steel semi -finished products,, taking into account seasonal fluctuations in Japan, decreased by 4.9 percent compared to the previous month of 2013. Nevertheless, in June, the production index of raw steel in June increased by 1.1 percent when compared with the same period last year.
