Metallurgists of Ukraine reduced losses to 6 billion 200 million dollars

In the first half of 2013, Ukrainian metallurgical companies reduced their total loss to 6 billion 200 million US dollars, which is 11.4 percent less than in APPG-2012. This was reported by OP "Metallurgprom".

Meanwhile, in January -June 2013, the profitability of Ukrainian metallurgy continued to fall and reached a negative value of -8.5 percent, against -7.7 percent in the APPG -2012. In the metallurgical industry, the drop in profitability was explained by a low level of demand and prices for Ukrainian -made metal.

The consolidated revenue of the Ukrainian meta entrepreneurs in the first half of the year amounted to UAH 72 billion or 9 billion US dollars, which is 11.5 percent less than in the APPG-2012.

Recall that in 2012, losses of Ukrainian metallurgy increased 3.3 times and reached 13 billion 700 million UAH. According to the forecast for 2013, losses will amount to 8 billion 500 million UAH.
