“Although at the moment, the demand for most of the metal rolling position has not returned to last year’s level, import shows some improvement in response to prices that happened this summer. But this is clearly not enough to improve the conditions of both domestic manufacturers and the importer of metal rolling,” said Mr. Felps.

Nevertheless, the total import of imports in the United States for July 2013 amounted to 2 million 474 tons against 2 million 460 thousand tons last month. The import of semi -finished products steel decreased by 6.7 percent in July 2013 compared to July 2012, from 556 thousand tons in 2012 to 519 thousand tons in 2013, according to preliminary data. From January to July, the import of semi -finished products fell by 15.3 percent, to 3 million 882 thousand tons with 4 million 582 thousand tons in the first seven months of 2012.
