Thyssenkrupp opens a new factory for the production of components of the automobile sector

In Ilzenburg in Germany, the new Thyssenkrupp new plant was officially opened for the manufacture of cylinder heads. Thyssenkrupp invested about 50 million euros into this object. The authorities of Saxony-Anhalt contributed to the investment support of the program in the amount of about 10 million euros. The plant can produce about a million modules per year.

The Prime Minister of Saxony said: “In recent years, the land of Saxony-Angalt has turned into a large region for the suppliers of automobile industry in Germany. In Thyssenkrupp, we found a reliable partner of the constantly expanding its production sites. I am glad that with our investment support, we were able to enter another chapter in the history of Thyssenkrupp and contributed to the opening of the plant in Ilsenburg. ”

In Saxony-Anhalt, the company has more than 1300 people in the automobile sector. Thyssenkrupp has been working in the Ilzenburg automobile production sector for 15 years. With the opening of the new plant, the company creates another 180 new jobs. Production in Ilzenburg is aimed at the production of distribution shafts and manufacturing of metal structures . Creating a new company, Thyssenkrupp Valvetrain GmbH, and the opening of a new production is based on new developments in the distribution shaft technology.

As a result, Thyssenkrupp will now be able to supply its customers a full module, and not individual components of the drive, as in the past. Just as weight loss, this will assemble engines at automobile plants faster and more efficient.
