According to data published by the National Statistical Committee of the Republic of Belarus, in the first seven months of the current year, the cost of metallurgical production in Belarus increased by 0.1 percent compared to the same period last year to 23453 billion of Belarusian rubles.
In particular, for this period, the smelting of steel in Belarus decreased by 5.1 percent to 1589 thousand tons, the steel rental production decreased by 8 percent to 1402 thousand tons, while the production of steel pipes decreased by 4.7 percent to 128.6 thousand tons, compared with the same period last year, respectively.
