Putin plans to organize a railway message with North Korea

Last month, Russia completed the study of the area, according to which a 54-kilometer railway line should pass. It is part of the project of President Putin aimed at reuniting the railway systems of two Kores and their binding to the Trans -Siberian Railway.

The railway route will turn out to be very attractive, providing a safe and reliable transport route between Asia and Europe. Deliveries from Western Europe to Rajin, restored in North Korea, will be possible in just 14 days, compared with 45 days on the ship.

In addition, this will help to force two Korea to work together on the railway and resume, a plan for building a pipeline for the supply of Russian natural gas, which has entered into a dead end. However, perhaps there will be serious obstacles that follow from the nuclear program of North Korean and protracted hostility since the Korean War of 1950-1953.

It is believed that the object of Rajin can also be converted for the movement of Asian goods to the West, to Europe. OJSC Mechel, the largest supplier and manufacturer of steel and coal, may be among customers at the first stage of the North Korea project.

Russia's position is to try to involve North Korea as a participant in profitable projects, to give them the opportunity to understand that fruitful cooperation is better than isolation. In November, Vladimir Putin plans to visit Seoul to discuss the details of the project to create a large transit route for trading between East Asia and Europe.
