According to statistics from the German Steel Federation (WV Stahl), crude steel production in Germany in June this year was about 3.2 million tons, down 7% compared to the same month last year.
During this period, the production of hot-rolled steel in Germany decreased by 8% year-on-year and amounted to approximately 2.8 million tons.
In the first half of this year, crude steel production in Germany amounted to about 19.6 million tons, down 5.5% compared to the same period last year; the output of hot-rolled steel amounted to about 17.3 million tons, having decreased by 5.6% year on year.
