Steel sales in Germany declined

In June, steel sales in Germany amounted to almost 809,000 tons, down 8% m/m and 15% y/y. In addition, sales in June were 11% lower compared to the average sales from January to May.

In June, flat steel sales in Germany amounted to 481,000 tonnes, down 6% on the previous month and down 9.6% on the same month last year. Sales of flat products in June accounted for 60% of total steel sales in Germany.

Long products sales reached around 253,000 tonnes, down 10.5% m/m and 22% year on year.
