Worldsteel: Global production of crude steel fell in July

According to statistics from the World Steel Association (worldsteel), global production of crude steel in July this year amounted to 149.3 million tons, a decrease of 6.5% compared to the same month last year.

Among them, Asian crude steel production reached 110.1 million tons, down 5.2% year on year, of which China's production was 81.4 million tons, down 6.4% from last year. Crude steel production in the EU-27 was 11.7 million tonnes, down 6.7% year on year.

July crude steel production in North America was 9.6 million tonnes, down 5.4% year-on-year; Production in South America was 3.6 million tonnes, down 7.8% year on year. Crude steel production in Africa fell 5.4% year on year to 1.2 million tons, while production in the Middle East rose 24.2% year on year to 3.2 million tons.
