Stainless steel production in Russia remained stable in July

According to statistics from the Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat), Russia's stainless steel production in July this year stood at about 18,700 tons, largely flat from the previous month but down 3.4% from a year earlier.

In total, about 147,000 tons of stainless steel were produced in Russia in the first seven months of this year, which is 22.5% more than in the same period a year earlier.

In 2021, stainless steel production in Russia amounted to 214,000 tons, up almost 5% year-on-year.
