Earlier, the project started on an underground construction site, and now it's time for a subdivision on the surface! It is here that the filling mixture is prepared, which is used to fill the voids in the mine. This is important for the safety and stability of the underground workings.

Both areas of the laying work are closely related: the production performance of the second directly depends on the actions of the one. Therefore, the project was launched on the surface. At the beginning, the team of the combine's project office studied the work of the division and offered tools for productivity growth.

Lev Forsilov, Senior Manager of the Severstal Business Systems Project Office:

"One of the barriers that prevented the site from growing is the lack of communication between the heads of two adjacent sites. The units work in pairs, one of the leaders on the surface, the second in the mine. There was a lack of communication and an understanding of how to act in different situations was different. We discussed each scenario with the head of operations and the heads of the two sites. As a result, we have an algorithm of actions for the masters of both sites. This increased the average producer from 109 to 121 cubic meters of feed mixture per hour."

There are already noticeable changes on the site. Information panels have been added where each employee can see their contribution to the common cause. And managers say that new tools help them to organize their work better.:

"We have a planogram that helps us predict the work of the department for the month ahead. This significantly helps to organize the supply of the laying mixture and plan repairs. To maintain high productivity, the masters of the two sections must work in conjunction. To better understand the specifics of the divisions, our employees spent a shift at the mine, and our colleagues visited the surface laying complex.",

– said Roman Ishchenko, the head of the surface area of the laying works.

YAGOKA employees actively support the changes. They have already assembled the first kaizen team to solve the division's tasks. The assignment of work assignments has also improved: the mothers have received a clear algorithm, and now each shift begins with a discussion of production results, safety, and goals for the next 12 hours.

The next division where production processes are analyzed is the blasting site.
