In January-September 2025, car sales in Turkey increased by 8.5 percent

In September of this year, car sales in Turkey totaled 114,112 units, up 8.7 percent from July and 25.2 percent year-on-year, according to monthly statistics released by the Turkish Automobile Manufacturers Association (OSD). In the same month, passenger car sales in Turkey totaled 88,274 units, up 26.8 percent from last year. Meanwhile, in the period from January to September of this year, car sales in Turkey totaled 958,847 units, an increase of 8.5 percent year-on-year.

In the first nine months of this year, car exports from Turkey totaled 769,625 units, up 5.6 percent, while passenger car exports fell by seven percent to 434,071 units in both years. for a year. During the same period, the country exported 242,048 small trucks, which is 15.1 percent more than last year. During the reporting period, revenues from total exports of automobiles and components increased by 11.3 percent to $29.66 billion, while revenues from exports of passenger cars totaled $8.44 billion, an increase of 8.2 percent year-on-year. Imports totaled 61,893 units, an increase of 25.6 percent year-on-year. In the period from January to September of this year, total car imports into the country totaled 682,981 units, an increase of 11.6 percent, while passenger car imports totaled 524,797 units, an increase of 9.5 percent, compared to the same period in 2024.
