Kerem Cakir, CEO of the Turkish steel company Borçelik Çelik Sanayi Ticaret A.
Ş., stated that the company has a flat steel production capacity of about 1.5 million tons, positioning it as a strategic supplier to the Turkish manufacturing industry, according to local media reports.
Cold-rolled products are mainly used in radiators and household appliances such as refrigerators and washing machines, while galvanized steel is predominantly consumed by the automotive sector, especially for vehicle body components. The company has also expanded its portfolio to include advanced steel grades such as commercial steel, deep-drawn steel, two-phase steel, calcined steel, refoxified steel and HSLA steel.
Production structure and service center integrationAccording to Mr. Cakir, Borçelik operates about 600,000 tons of cold-rolled steel and about 900,000 tons of galvanized steel per year, forming one of the highest quality flat steel production bases in Turkey.
These operations are supported by Kerim Celik's Steel service center, which provides approximately 500,000 tons of additional processing capacity. Collectively, Borçelik manages the production, processing and supply of approximately 2 million tons per year, maintaining an integrated, technology-driven and customer-oriented operating model.
